This etching to the right, with the horse, is the celebration
of the capture of the jews. The figure in the middle is the Pharaoh
on his chariot, holding the chain that is around the necks of the captured
Jews.
This is the hand of a large Egyptian statue. However,
the hand is not as large as the picture let's on. This hand, with
seal of the pharaoh, was about 3' in height.
This is a picture of the Aswan Dam, the dam on the Nile in Upper Egypt (southern Egypt), that was constructed with the aid of the Russian Gov. that stopped the flooding of the Nile River. This is the dam side, the other side having the huge lake that flooded the Philae Temple. The 4 pronged building in the background is the monument built to commemorate the completion of the dam.
(left) This is a shrine within the holy Mohammed Ali Mosque in Cairo. (below)
And this is the mosque itself sticking up over its protective walls.
This is the view from the hill on which the Mohammed
Ali Mosque resides. The above picture has the mosque to my back and
is overlooking Cairo and this mosque with 4 minurets.
This picture just shows how vivid the colors that remain
in some Hieroglyphics.
