New Project - In conjunction with Dennis TuNews: 12/24/05 - Some little info for you folks - I'm going to try to finsih this project, but using lightwave instead of bryce from some early stuff me and dennis did. I'm not sure if dennsi is still interested in this project but i'll let you guys know as soon as find out. Background: Here are some screen shots of what's to come... it will be an animation done entirely in Bryce with two "dueling" planes, piloted by myself and Dennis . Well anyways, here is a look at what the final planes are going to look like. These were made in AutoCAD 2000 and imported into Bryce. This is going to be a semester long, if not year-long project, expect to see it up here when it is finished. Just added a preview of one of the scenes that will be in the animation, click here to download and view(uses divx 4.12, 900K). Things have picked up, most of the big stuff for backgrounds and landscape have been started and need a little polishing up. We plan to encode the video as DivX4 for the PC and i will re-encode it into a mov file for the mac users out there, since the divx has yet to be properly ported to the mac. If this actually sounds interesting to you, drop either of us a line to show your support. It will get our asses in gear if we think there are people out there actually waiting to see this. New Shit: Dennis just came up with a crazy ass idea for the opening sequence.
I don't want to mention it yet, if there are problems in implementing
it. If this goes well and we have fun and alot of people like
it, it might be possible to persuade us into doing another one ;). We
got alot done over break, most importantly, we decided upon improving
the complexity of the two locations, the base and the city. I
will have to say, dennis' bases looks really good and professional,
while mine is a little half assed. But all is good. We have
currently ran into the snag that dennis' scene is too complex for him
to do wireframe editing in real-time, which is kinda ridiculous, so
we have to wait for dennis to upgrade his computer and what not. Possibly
he might just take my current cpu as i'm almost got my new computer
working.
